I have included a list of some of my favorite on-line resources and web sites for your education and entertainment.
CHNOPS: Elements for Life video is an excerpt from the Hunting the Elements video listed below. It provides an interesting persepective of the compositions of the human body.
Elements - Hunting the Elements site contains a special NOVA video, along with fun games and apps related to the periodic table of elements.
Exploratorium home page for the Exploratorium museum in San Francisco - has lots of interactive pages and videos
How Stuff Works covers all kinds of information from science to cross-word puzzles.
Khan Academy offers excellent free on-line tutorials on science, math and economics.
Laboratory Safety doesn't have to be dull. Check out this video.
Learning Styles lets you take an inventory to give you information about the best way that YOU learn.
Mark Bishop's Web Site is written by a member of the Monterey Peninsula College faculty for chemistry students.
Mixed Reception (a mystery) is an interactive game that has you solve a mystery, using the scientific method, logic, deductive reasoning and knowledge of some basic chemical concepts.
Periodic Table Interactive helps you to learn important facts about the Periodic Table of Elements.
Science Daily News is a collection of the latest news about science, health, medicine and the environment.
Snopes collects information on urban legends and rumors, trying to determine if they are true or not. It can help you become a more intelligent consumer of information.
The World of Chemistry can provide helpful information about chemistry, although an older set of videos. There are 26 videos in this set.
You Tube has an amazing collection of short videos on many different science topics. How about Daniel Radcliffe singing the Elements Song? Or try this one on laboratory safety set to music. Or these on the powers of ten from Cosmic Voyage and the scale of the universe from Cary Huang.
